Brogan Bertie

Brogan Bertie (b. 1995, South London) is a British artist currently based in Margate, England. Brogan’s art practice is rooted in connection, painting from life in order to offer an intimate and energetic insight into the sitters. Using the physicality of oil paint, Brogan creates rich and textural works that construct an honest yet tender portrait of human connection and complexity. Brogan currently works from TKE studios in Margate.

Recent group exhibitions include:

FLUID: FLINTA Artists Interpret the Self, The Artists Gallery (2025), Works on Paper, Quench Gallery (2024), Claude Cahun: Beneath This Mask, The Beaney (2023), Y’all Better Quiet Down, Leslie Lohman Museum (2019).
